24 Dates

For Christmas I gave my husband 24 envelopes sealed and tied with string. Inside are 24 date night ideas. Two per month. Each month there are date nights of things to do around the house and date nights away from the house.  Our first envelope was "Movie Night" and included at $20 gift card to our local theater.
We had Date 1 last night!
This is not the best picture of us but he took the "selfie" before we left.
Of course  I look at this and notice......
I have collar bones!

Side note: movie theaters need to carry snacks and drinks that weight loss patients can have! I cant have candy (sugar) or popcorn and I cannot have carbonated drinks! I had no snacks and the hubbie had popcorn and Pepsi.

Christmas in March (with Nascar)

For Christmas I gave my husband a certificate to ride around the Charlotte Motor Speedway in a Nascar.(thanks to Groupon!) I got a very good deal and I knew he would love it!  My Artist daughter wanted to do this with her Daddy and she paid her own way.  So, yesterday we got up at 5:30 am and drive to Charlotte, NC for this exciting event.
They got to ride 5 laps side by side at 165 mph around the track.
She was number 1 and he was number 2
They enjoyed it! It was money well spent and the memories will last a lifetime!

As good as it gets

Over all Christmas has been a good one.
The only way it could get better is if I were to see my Marine son walk through the door.
He woke us this morning with a phone call and I couldnt be happier.
The husband was happy about his gift.
My girls are happy about theirs.

 Lucky has doubled in size!
Hes enjoyed all this "family" time this week as well.
Our baby girl liked her shoes so much she was setting them up for pictures to post on instagram.
Im already wanting next Christmas to be here fast so I can spend it with my son.

I haven't forgotten the reason we have this season is the birth of our Lord and Savior.
His birth gave us life. He was born to give his lift for our sins.

I am thankful.
