Piercings

On Mothers Day my girls took me to get my nose pierced! I had thought about it over the past few months and decided, why not?  It was a fun day and didn't hurt but a moment. I like it!

  1. Love reading your blog and loved hearing about your girls taking you to get your nose pierced for Mother's Day! You have a pretty face and cute nose perfect for a little piercing. I've always admired other women with cute little nose studs and little nose rings. Don't think your "crazy" at all! I've put my dream on hold for many years, and haved wanted my nose pierced since the first day of college. Your nose stud looks really beautiful on you with your lovely eyes, makeup, hair and lipstick!

Turning 40 soon and just can't seem to muster the courage. Would love to hear how you had yours done and any suggestions or ideas to help me decide to go have it done.

  2. Thanks for your comment! At 40 I got my first (and only so far) tattoo! Now, a nose piercing! I went to a nice tattoo shop that does piercings. They put a cork in my nose and used a needle to pop right through my nose. It only hurt for a minute and it was over! (much like when you get your ears pierced but with the nose there is no tool to use, the use the needle and push through by hand. I love it and have had no complications or anything. Thanks so much for the compliments! I say, dont worry about your age to live your dreams! Ive put things on hold for a long time. It started with having children and I sacrificed a lot and dont regret that one bit. Later I allowed my weight to hold me back but no more! Im learning to not worry what others think, to live life the way I think I should and live with no regrets! Keep in touch! Glad to know someone is reading!

  3. Thanks fore writing back and sharing your experience. It really looks super cute on you. Suspect you've gotten a lot of + compliments and few other moms like myself with "nose ring envy." Wondered what brought up getting your nose pierced on your mind over the past months, and what was the "tipping point" which allowed you to finally do it?

Have two daughters, age 16 (who wants her done with me for a Mother/Daughter "bonding experience" and a 10 year old who says I want my nose pierced to look young. Help! Did any of your girls get their nose pierced too? Have it already done?

Really want a nose ring, but my youngest rolled her eyes when I mentioned it!

    Any help welcome.
